Malacca is considered to be the most historically happening city of Malaysia. Malacca was the seat of the Malay Sultanate back in the 15th century and was in-densely colonized by the Dutch, Portuguese and British rulers later. The rise and fall of different empires have influenced incredibly to Malacca's medieval charm. Its narrow streets, picturesque buildings, multi cultural population and its antique infrastructure compliments the history of the city really well.
In Malacca you get a chance to visit the well preserved historical sites like the St Paul's Hill, Cheng Hoon Teng and the Porta De Santiago, a Portuguese fortress built in the 15th century. Witness the Palm Oil, Coconut and rubber plantations when you drive your way into Malacca. The expected time consumed to drive from Johor Bahru to Malacca is around 4 hours. So you get to experience all the scenery and infrastructure along the way. (The tour also includes Lunch).
